The Cambridge College of Higher Education (CCHE) (Pvt) Ltd, Est. 1998 member of Cambridge Montessori International Center (CMIC), Est. 1965 Consolidated has evolved directly from courses given by Dr. Maria Montessori between 1944 and 1950. The College first course directress was Miss. Sybil Irene Weerasinghe (Dip. in Mont. A.M.I. – 1944-1945), a direct student of Dr. Maria Montessori. Present Course Directress Mrs. Disna Gunasekera Martus, UK qualified for higher studies in Human Recourses Management and Business Management. The CCHE is affiliated to Montessori International (AMI) Diploma programme, the Cambridge Montessori International Centre in Sri Lanka is an International Education of residence studies. Our programmes are designed as a special package to train teachers for leadership roles in teaching profession and following the most up to date methods. CCHE is the one of the best Institute in the Sri Lanka, which delivers the AMI syllabus through AMI, qualified instructors and awards diplomas on the results of AMI Cambridge examinations, there by providing authentic Montessori qualifications.

CCHE is situated in Borrella Elect rate Colombo East, a delightful residential area, 300 meters away from Eye Hospital you can come along De Seram Place, passing Norris Cannel road after about 25 meters turn left to Wipulasena Mawatha from there about 25 meters on your right hand side you find Aureliya Gardens (before the Asoka College). We are located in a splendid bungalow (constructed by Walker & Sons Company Ltd. 1928) with large bright study rooms and a large pond with lunch room.
