IESLCE Engineering Study Programme

Course Details :   

The IESLCE Engineering study programme provides a good balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Most of the modules include laboratory sessions so that the students can obtain hands-on-experience to enhance the theoretical knowledge disseminated through lectures. The practical sessions are conducted at the University of Moratuwa and the Open University of Sri Lanka whereas the theory classes are conducted at the College premises in Colombo.

The curriculum is continuously revised to improve its quality and relevance and also to promote outcome-based education, gearing the students to be successful in a dynamic and challenging work environment. Industrial training in relevant disciplines has also been integrated into the curriculum to make the academic programme more meaningful. The programme is offered at an affordable fee and the medium of instruction is English.

Participation of highly qualified and dedicated academic staff consisting of part time lecturers from the Engineering Faculties of the State Universities and professional engineers from the industry enables the IESLCE to stand at the same standards and levels of other higher learning institutions in the country.

Scholarships

A scholarship scheme is available to reward and recognize the high achieving students, based on merit. As a responsible Educational Institute, IESLCE extends its gratitude to the war heroes by offering scholarships to their children. In addition, scholarships are awarded to finalists of Junior Inventor of the Year (JIY) competition to motivate and encourage them for higher achievements.
